Junior BAS Technician (1+ Years Experience)

Job Summary
We are looking for a Junior Building Automation System (BAS) Technician with 1+ years of experience to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role that will involve a mix of service and project work, providing an excellent opportunity to develop both troubleshooting and programming skills.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong HVAC background who is looking to build a long-term career in building automation. The successful candidate will work closely with senior technicians and gain exposure to a wide range of systems, projects, and service environments.
Responsibilities
- Assist with service, troubleshooting, and maintenance of BAS systems.
- Support programming and modification of BAS systems under supervision.
- Assist with commissioning, startup, and project delivery.
- Diagnose HVAC control issues with guidance from senior technicians.
- Work on both service calls and project sites as required.
- Maintain system documentation, databases, and graphics.
- Communicate with customers in a professional manner.
- Support the team in any capacity required to ensure successful project and service delivery.
- Participate in on-call rotation as experience develops.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in the BAS industry.
- Mandatory: Strong HVAC knowledge and experience.
- Understanding of BAS systems and control strategies, basic electrical principles, and related technologies.
- Experience working with BAS platforms and integration protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.).
- Experience with BAS programming (Niagara, Control Basic, or similar).
- Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license.
