Full-Stack Software Engineer
Building the Future of Quantitative Medical Imaging
What if the software you write could detect cancer before symptoms appear?
We’re not a typical startup. We’re a pioneering MRI clinic with over 15 years in the field — and the original inventors of the Whole Body MRI scan. Now we’re entering our next chapter: expanding across North America and building AI-powered technology that will fundamentally change how healthcare is delivered and experienced.
We’re a small, focused team operating with startup energy, and we need a full-stack engineer with a strong backend focus who wants to build something that actually matters — not just ship features.
What you’ll be doing
You'll be a core part of shaping our technology direction from the ground up. That means designing and building the backend systems, APIs, and AI-powered tools that support clinicians, researchers, and patients — while helping us establish the architectural foundation we'll scale on for years to come. You'll also take hands-on ownership of frontend UI work, building the critical clinical interfaces that power day-to-day operations across multiple clinics.
This isn’t a “maintain the legacy codebase” role. You’ll have a real seat at the table.
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years of full-stack experience with a strong backend focus — though if you have less but the drive is there, apply anyway. We hire for mindset, not just resume lines.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and/or Node.js / TypeScript (Java is a plus)
- Proficient with frontend technologies and frameworks such as React.js, GraphQL, and related ecosystem tooling
- Solid grasp of API design, database architecture, and authentication workflows
- Comfortable navigating cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure — pick your poison)
- A genuine understanding of software architecture and system design principles
- Someone who actively uses AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, etc.) — not as a crutch, but as a force multiplier
- Bonus: Experience with healthcare systems like PACS, DICOM, or HL7
The culture fit we care about most
We’re not chasing the “best candidate on paper”. We value mission alignment above all. We’re seeking adaptable, self-motivated individuals who embrace uncertainty, collaborate effectively in small teams, and take pride in seeing their work create real impact. If you’re genuinely energized by our mission and ready to roll up your sleeves in a tight-knit team where your contributions are visible and direct — you’ll fit right in.
