By Charley Madison is a safe, non-judgmental space for healing — for clients and practitioners alike. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Clinical Counsellor or Counsellor to join our wellness-focused clinic in Maple Ridge.
This role is ideal for a practitioner who values autonomy, ethical care, and working within a calm, collaborative environment while delivering high-quality, client-centred mental health support.
Role Overview
The Clinical Counsellor will provide individual and group counselling services to adults, supporting emotional, psychological, and mental well-being. This role involves collaboration with aligned wellness practitioners to ensure comprehensive, holistic care, as well as thoughtful case management and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group counselling sessions addressing emotional, behavioural, and psychological needs
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches
- Collaborate with in-house wellness practitioners to support integrated, client-centred care
- Assist with case management, including coordinating referrals and community resources when appropriate
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with professional and regulatory standards
- Collect and review outcome data to support continuous improvement and ethical practice
- Participate in multidisciplinary discussions as needed to support holistic client care
- Provide education and support related to mental health, coping strategies, and treatment options
Experience & Qualifications
- Valid accreditation from a recognized counselling program
- Registration in good standing with a recognized governing body (BCACC or equivalent)
- Professional liability insurance
- Experience providing counselling in a clinical or private practice setting preferred
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed, ethical, and client-centred care
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinic
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professional boundaries and discretion
