Job Summary
We are seeking friendly and energetic individuals to join our team as Customer Service Ice Cream Shop Associates. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving a variety of ice cream treats, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for all guests. Ideal candidates will have a passion for food service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream products
- Prepare food items according to safety and quality standards, including scooping ice cream and assembling sundaes or other treats
- Handle cash and credit card payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and equipment, in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to manage time efficiently during peak hours to serve customers quickly without sacrificing quality
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude and attention to detail
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and giving correct change
- Understanding of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols in a food environment. Have or willing to obtain a Safe Food Handlers Certificate.
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
