Job Overview
We are currently seeking a dependable and motivated Shop Helper to join a growing fabrication and machine shop team. This is an evaluation-to-hire position, offering strong potential for long-term, permanent employment.

Responsibilities
- Assist with daily operations in a fabrication and machine shop environment
- Support machine operators with material handling and basic setup tasks
- Perform general labour duties, including heavy lifting (40–50 lbs) and repetitive work
- Operate shop equipment such as sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes (training provided)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Collaborate with a small, team-oriented group (approximately 7 employees)
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and motivated for long-term employment
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding industrial environment
- Previous experience in a shop, warehouse, or shipping environment is an asset
- Experience with manual or CNC machinery is an asset, but not required
- Willingness to learn and train across multiple shop function
