Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Cashier/Customer Service representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to communicate effectively, manage multiple tasks, and demonstrate product knowledge will contribute to a positive shopping experience. Bilingual skills and experience in retail sales or merchandising are highly valued to enhance customer interactions and support diverse clientele.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs in a professional manner
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and credit transactions
- Process sales, returns, and exchanges efficiently while maintaining accuracy in cash register operations
- Conduct product demos and upsell items to maximize sales opportunities
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the sales floor is tidy and inviting
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy using proper phone etiquette
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
- Support team members with various tasks to ensure smooth store operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities such as Spanish or other languages are a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills for transaction accuracy
- Ability to demonstrate products through demos and technical sales techniques when applicable
- Excellent organizational skills and time management to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal skills to engage customers effectively
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of merchandising standards and retail operations is advantageous
