Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technologist to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture diagnostic images of internal organs, tissues, and blood flow.
- Analyze images for clarity and accuracy, ensuring they meet diagnostic standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to interpret results and assist in diagnosis.
- Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed and patient information in accordance with hospital policies.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and calibrated regularly.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures to protect patients and staff.
- Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Ultrasound Technologist or similar role in a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging.
- Certification or licensure as required by state or regulatory agencies.
- Excellent technical skills with proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment.
- Compassionate approach with strong communication skills to explain procedures and address patient concerns.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment while maintaining attention to detail.
