The Role
We are seeking a talented writer to create original, engaging content about the Greater Toronto Area real estate market. You'll help grow our audience, turn proprietary market data into stories people actually want to read, strengthen our brand authority, and help position Strata and its agents as genuine market experts. This is a content role with real creative latitude — we want someone who brings ideas, not just execution.
About Strata
Strata is a technology-forward real estate brokerage in the Greater Toronto Area, home to strata.ca — one of Ontario's highest-traffic real estate platforms. We're looking to become the most recognized voices in GTA real estate.
What You'll Do
- Turn proprietary and hyperlocal market data into original stories and insights — the kind that earn media attention and build Strata's reputation as a market authority.
- Write clear, engaging content about the GTA real estate market: market commentary, neighbourhood trends, and pieces that inform buyers, sellers, and renters.
- Collaborate with our agents to surface real, on-the-ground market perspectives.
- Help maintain a consistent, distinctive brand voice across our content and digital channels.
What We're Looking For
- An exceptional writer who can make data-heavy or complex topics clear and engaging.
- An instinct for the kind of story that gets picked up — you can look at market data and see the angle a reader, or a journalist, would actually care about. A background in journalism or news writing is an asset, but the instinct matters more than the credential.
- Genuine interest in or knowledge of the GTA real estate market.
- Self-directed and resourceful — comfortable working independently and bringing your own ideas forward.
- At ease working with data and translating it into something readers care about.
- Based in the Greater Toronto Area. This role is remote-friendly, but knowing this market firsthand matters.
- Any familiarity with SEO is a plus, but not a requirement.
Details
- Contract to start, with potential to grow into an expanded role over time for the right person.
- Remote-friendly, GTA-based.
- Compensation is competitive and structured to reward results. We'll discuss specifics with shortlisted candidates.
