Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our busy kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for food preparation, cooking, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic restaurant environment, contributing to the creation of delicious meals and providing excellent food service to our guests. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals with a passion for the food industry.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and standards
- Cook and assemble dishes efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking ingredients and supplies
- Support other kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
- Adhere to serving protocols and assist in delivering excellent food service to customers
Requirements
- Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service is highly desirable, especially within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or evenings if needed
- Basic understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in all aspects of work
Pay: $18.00 per hour
