Overview
We are seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to provide a safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to our patients in a busy family practice clinic. This person will work collaboratively with physicians and administrative staff to ensure efficient clinic operations and high-quality patient care.
Duties
- Assess patients, obtain medical histories, and document findings accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
- Assist physicians during minor procedures.
- Perform wound assessments and dressing changes.
- Administer medications and immunizations as authorized.
- Perform injections (IM, SC, and ID) within scope of practice.
- Conduct Ear irrigations, and other clinical procedures as assigned.
- Perform point-of-care testing (e.g., glucose, urine dipstick).
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and report concerns promptly to the physician.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
- Process physician orders and follow-up requests.
- Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, and patient follow-up appointments.
- Assist with inventory management of medical supplies and vaccines.
Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the appropriate licensing body.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and relevant clinical practices.
- Proficiency with electronic health records such as PS Suite.
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
