Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items, assisting with meal assembly, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and quality standards
- Cook and assemble dishes efficiently while maintaining consistency and presentation standards
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Assist with cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations
- Support the team during busy service periods by ensuring timely food delivery
- Maintain organized work areas to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the food service process
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays if required by the restaurant schedule
- Basic kitchen experience or familiarity with the food industry is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
