Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Store Clerk to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and maintaining the store's merchandising standards. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with effective time management. Must be 19 years of age to sell alcohol. Must have exceptional work ethic, ability to work flexible hours, and ability to work independently. Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts
- Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customers and promote products
- Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout the shift
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment as required
- Follow company policies on cashiering, cash handling, and time management
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations
Experience
- Prior retail sales or cashiering experience preferred but not required
- Experience with POS systems, merchandising, or technology sales is a plus
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage time efficiently
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory management
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly phone etiquette mindset
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
