The Opportunity
We are seeking a Field Survey Assistant to support a variety of survey projects within our Oil & Gas Sector in the Red Deer / Central Alberta area. This is an entry-level position and an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or build a career in the survey industry. While related experience is an asset, it is not required—we’re here to help you gain that experience.
This role is especially well suited for recent Geomatics graduates or individuals interested in developing a long-term career in surveying.
What You’ll Do

Assist with field surveying projects

Secure work sites in accordance with safety protocols

Complete digital paperwork, photos, and forms

Follow direction from the Crew Chief

Maintain survey equipment and company vehicles

Review and process field data into appropriate systems

Flag and mark boundaries

Transport equipment to and from job sites

Dig holes for survey posts
Requirements
-
Valid Class 5 driver’s license

Enjoys physical, outdoor work

Willingness to work in remote locations from time to time

Innovative mindset and curiosity

Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude
Nice to Have

Valid safety certifications (e.g., First Aid/CPR, CSTS, UTV Ridership, WHMIS, TDG, H2S, Bear Awareness, Faller Certification)
