Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lawn Care Lead Hand to oversee and participate in landscape maintenance projects. This role involves supervising team members, ensuring quality work, and maintaining the aesthetic and health of outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, horticultural knowledge, and hands-on experience in landscape services. This position offers an opportunity to lead a team while applying your expertise in lawn care and landscape management.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily lawn care and landscape maintenance activities for residential and commercial clients
- Perform tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, and planting to ensure high-quality results
- Oversee irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to promote healthy plant growth
- Assist with gardening tasks including soil preparation, planting, fertilizing, and pest control
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
- Manage equipment maintenance and proper usage to maximize efficiency
- Provide training and guidance to team members on best practices in horticulture, landscape maintenance, and safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture
- Supervising or leadership experience within a landscaping or construction environment
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, plant care, pruning techniques, and general horticultural practices
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and supervise a team effectively
- Construction experience is a plus for site preparation or installation projects
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination
