We are looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team. Please note this job is located in Banff, AB.
Position Summary
As a Journeyman Electrician, you will take a lead role in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems. You will work on a variety of projects, guide apprentices, and ensure all work meets Alberta Electrical Code standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and code specifications
- Lead and mentor apprentices, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other trades
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used
- Ensure compliance with Alberta Electrical Code and OH&S regulations
- Operate tools, testing equipment, and machinery safely and effectively
Qualifications
- Valid Alberta or Interprovincial Journeyman Electrician certification
- 2 years post-certification experience preferred
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable transportation to job sites
- Strong understanding of electrical theory, code, and safe work practices
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- CSTS and First Aid certification an asset (can be provided)
