We’re Hiring: Mining Technology Support Advisor
Edmonton, AB | 7x7 Rotation | Full-Time, Permanent

Are you a tech-savvy problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working with advanced, real-world technology? We’re looking for a Mining Technology Support Advisor to support and optimize our industry-leading MineStar technology suite.
Important: This is NOT a traditional IT support role.
This position is focused on mining technology systems, fleet management solutions, and operational technologies that directly impact performance in active mining environments—such as Caterpillar MineStar™ Fleet, Terrain, Command (autonomous haulage), Detect (collision avoidance), and Health equipment monitoring systems, as well as related communication, GPS, and onboard mining technologies used across Finning-supported sites.
12-hour shifts on a 7x7 rotation (3-rotations of day shift and 1-rotation of night shift)

What You’ll Do
Serve as the go-to technical expert for MineStar solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and operational technology issues
Support remote deployments, upgrades, and integrations
Deliver training to customers and internal teams
Build strong customer relationships and ensure high satisfaction
Contribute to continuous improvement of support processes
✅ What You Bring
Diploma in a technical/engineering field
Experience with IT systems, databases, or radio communications
Exposure to mining tech (MineStar, Wenco, Modular) is an asset
Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills
Knowledge of mining operations, GPS, and equipment systems
