Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Bodyman and Prepper to join our team. This role involves repairing and preparing vehicles for sale or service, ensuring high-quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a dealership environment, possess mechanical knowledge, and be proficient with various hand and power tools. Responsibilities
- Repair and restore vehicle bodies, including dent removal, panel replacement, and refinishing
- Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and priming surfaces
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform bodywork tasks efficiently and accurately
- Perform heavy lifting when handling vehicle parts or components
- Conduct inspections to identify necessary repairs and ensure quality standards are maintained
- Assist with automotive repair tasks as needed, supporting the mechanic team when required
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow dealership procedures and safety guidelines during all repair activities
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dealership or automotive body shop preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle repair and maintenance
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, dollies, grinders, and sanders
- Experience using power tools for bodywork tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes and techniques
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Mechanic experience is considered a plus
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $20.00-$50.00 per hour
