PCL Constructors Westcoast Inc. is looking for experienced Carpenter Lead Hands and Forepersons to help lead our crews at the North Shore Waste Water Treatment Plant
Roles and responsibilities:
- Understand, implement and enforce PCL's HSE program as well as local safety legislation
- Being responsible for supervising our crews in a safe and efficient manner in order to minimize the risk of injury or damage to property or utilities
- Working with sub trades and own forces to ensure safe work procedures are understood and followed
- Being able to intervene and understand the methods used to ensure a safe, productive and quality project
- Ability to set and communicate production goals with work crews to increase productivity
- Responsible to teach and train crew members
- Supervising and coordinating site construction activities with sub-trades and PCL’s own skilled craft workers
- Working with the PCL team and the engineers, designers and inspectors to help meet the client's project requirements
- Representing PCL to the public in a manner that is consistent with corporate values and goals
Requirements:
- 3 or more years of field supervision experience on Commercial, Industrial or Civil projects
- proven track record of leading crews in formwork erection using Doka or Peri Systems
- Hold a valid Carpentry Journeyperson trade certificate or a Technical Diploma or equivalent experience in the industry

Work Conditions:
This position is based on a 50-hour work week. Suitable candidates MUST be available to work overtime and occasional weekends if required.
