Dining Room Server (Part-Time)

The Renaissance is a boutique independent retirement residence located in Esquimalt, serving approximately 65 residents each evening in our elegant dining room. We are currently looking for a friendly, dependable, and energetic Part-Time Dining Room Server to join our team.
This is an excellent entry-level position and is well-suited for high school students looking to gain valuable customer service and hospitality experience.
About the Role
As a Dining Room Server, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming dining experience for our residents. You will work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, organization, and a positive attitude are essential.
Responsibilities
- Set up the dining room prior to dinner service
- Ensure tables, cutlery, glassware, plates, and table linens are clean and properly arranged
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional dining environment
- Deliver meals from the kitchen to residents promptly
- Interact with residents in a friendly and respectful manner
- Learn residents' names and build positive relationships over time
- Check in with residents throughout service to ensure their needs are met
- Clear tables promptly after meals
- Reset the dining room for the following day's service
- Assist with general dining room cleanliness and organization
