Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food service. As a key member of our hospitality staff, the Sous Chef will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and support the culinary team in preparing high-quality dishes that meet our guests' expectations.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks and food preparation personnel
- Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring variety and quality in all offerings
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes and standards
- Manage food handling procedures to comply with safety and sanitation regulations
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to maintain efficient kitchen operations
- Ensure all food served meets quality standards and is served in a timely manner
- Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
- Provide training and mentorship to team members to foster professional growth and teamwork
- Collaborate with restaurant management to ensure guest satisfaction and operational excellence
Requirements
- Proven supervisory experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably in a hotel environment
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and kitchen safety protocols
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Experience in restaurant management or hospitality industry preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to serve as a positive role model for staff
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and culinary techniques across various cuisines
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
