Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Concrete Foreman to lead at our small team and oversee concrete projects at Kierdorf Masonry and Concrete. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing on-site activities and maintaining high-quality workmanship. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge of concrete work forming and finishing, and proficiency with construction management tools to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all concrete construction activities on-site, including demo, grade, forming, pouring, finishing, and curing processes.
- Lead and manage a team of workers, providing clear instructions and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of projects.
- Monitor quality control standards throughout the project lifecycle to meet specifications and client expectations.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to coordinate schedules and resolve on-site issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and conduct regular safety meetings with the crew.
- Maintain detailed records of daily activities, progress reports, and material usage.
Qualifications
- WHMIS & 4-Step required.
- Personal vehicle and basic tools.
- Must know code for concrete walkways, staircases and more. Must have basic concrete finishing skills.
- Proven experience in forming and finishing concrete or general construction projects; prior supervisory experience is a plus. Stamped concrete skills.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading.
- Operating excavator and skid steer are plus.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and safety standards in construction environments.
