About the Role
We are seeking a general solicitor to support our purpose-driven clients. Experience in Real Estate, Housing, Corporate, M&A, and Commercial Advisory is an asset but not required to apply.
The successful candidate will:
- Lead and support a broad portfolio of solicitor legal work for non-profit, charitable, and impact-oriented clients.
- Provide corporate, commercial, non-profit, charity, real estate, employment and other advisory services.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including service agreements, funding agreements, leases, and procurement documents.
- Advise on employment, volunteer, and contractor relationships, and assist with related policy development.
- Collaborate effectively with the administrative and operations team.
- Participate in business development and relationship-building efforts to grow the firm’s practice.
Requirements
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia
- 5+ years of experience in corporate/commercial solicitor practice
- Exceptional technological and artificial intelligence competency
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and file management skills
- Exceptional client management skills
- Highly independent, accountable, and self-directed
- Demonstrated commitment to community service, ethics, and professional excellence
- Experience advising non-profits, charities, and First Nations is an asset
- Lawyer must be willing to be called in the Yukon and BC
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $142,824 - $166,628+
- 3 weeks vacation, plus bonus vacation entitlement
- Origination bonus (10% of originated collections, paid quarterly)

Target & Performance Expectations
- 1300-1400 billable hours, and corollary realization and collections targets
- 50+ community contribution hours per year
- Originated collections target ($125,000- $175,000)
- Participation in firm-led business development and operational projects
- Individual business development plan
