Male Caregiver – Home Care (Part-Time/Casual)

#1 AAA Homecare Services is seeking two compassionate, dependable, and upbeat Male Caregiver's to provide one-on-one care for a male client in the Willow Park area of SE Calgary.
Our client has recently been discharged following a lengthy hospital stay and is looking for a caregiver who can assist with his transition back home while providing companionship, encouragement, and quality care. We are specifically looking for someone with a fun, positive personality who enjoys engaging with clients and helping them maintain their quality of life.
Position Details
- Hours to be determined
- Part-Time / Casual
- Schedule follows a regular weekly pattern
- Hours may vary slightly based on client needs and care requirements
- Long-term opportunity for the right candidate
- Wage based on experience and performance review starting at $18.50 ranging to $22
Responsibilities
- Personal care assistance
- Mobility support and transfers
- Meal preparation and assistance with nutrition
- Companionship and social engagement
- Light housekeeping related to client care
- Medication reminders
- Monitoring and reporting changes in condition
- Supporting recovery and maintaining comfort at home
Qualifications
- Health Care Aide (HCA) Certificate required
- Registered with the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
- Previous home care or caregiving experience preferred
- Experience assisting clients following hospitalization is an asset
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable, patient, and compassionate
- Physically able to assist with mobility and personal care tasks
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
