Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Automotive Sales Associate located in Bolton, ON. The Sales Associate will engage with customers to understand their needs, provide expert recommendations on vehicle options, and facilitate the sales process. They will also be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering long-term customer relationships by providing exceptional service and follow-up. In this role, you will assist in maintaining an updated knowledge of the dealership's inventory to better meet client needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Actively sell and promote dealership inventory to prospective customers
- Guide customers through the vehicle buying process, providing expert advice and support
- Build strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable vehicles
- Coordinate and schedule test drives, customer appointments and follow-ups to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain the dealership lot in a clean, organized and visually appealing condition to enhance the customer experience
- Ensure the safety, security and proper maintenance of all vehicles on the lot
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of vehicles features and specifications to effectively communicate product benefits to customers
- Manage, track and update sales leads and inventory data inventory data within dealership systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date information
- Handle all licensing paperwork and ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulations
- Proactively generate new business through cold calling, emailing and other lead generation activities
- Maintain ongoing communication with customers before, during and after the sale to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business
- Uphold strict confidentiality protocols to protect sensitive customer and company information
Qualifications
- Valid OMVIC (Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council) certification is mandatory
- Valid driver's license
- Proven experience in automotive sales
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers
- Strong organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail
- Finance experience or a working knowledge of automotive financing, lending and credit processes is considered a strong asset
- Proficient in using dealer management software and systems to manage leads, inventory and customer information
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the dealership operations
