Role Description
Equium Group is seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Person / Maintenance Technician to join our property management team. This role is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections across our residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong attention to detail, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
Key responsibilities include routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and responding to tenant service requests in a timely and professional manner. This position requires hands-on experience in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, drywall repair, and general property upkeep. Ensuring tenant satisfaction, property safety, and compliance with regulations is a top priority.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting).
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues quickly.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Repair or replace fixtures, flooring, cabinetry, and appliances.
- Respond promptly to tenant service requests and emergencies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory.
- Keep accurate records of completed work and materials used.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 1-3 years of experience as a Handy man/women or Maintenance Technician.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and take initiative in resolving issues efficiently.
- Strong collaborative skills with a proactive and adaptable attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $65,000.00 per year
