Job Title: Aircraft Structures/Sheet Metal Technician
Location: Calgary, AB (In person)
Compensation: $31.00 – $40.00 / hour (Based on experience + relocation package + licensing considerations)

About the Role
Are you an experienced Structures Technician looking to take your sheet metal and structural assembly skills to the next level? We are seeking skilled professionals to join our team in Calgary. This role goes beyond basic bench work—you will execute major aircraft joining operations (wing-to-fuselage, empennage), advanced shimming, structural alignment, and complex modifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform major aircraft structural integration and joining (wing-to-fuselage, tail cone/empennage).
- Execute precision drilling, reaming, countersinking, and riveting on structural components.
- Fabricate and install precision shims to control gap, flushness, and structural tolerances.
- Interpret complex engineering structural blueprints, work orders, and MRB dispositions.
- Perform structural repairs, engineering modifications, rework, and non-conformance resolutions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Location & Legal Status: Must currently live in Canada with valid authorization to work full-time (Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Open Work Permit).
- Experience: 2+ to 6+ years of sheet metal and structural assembly experience in aviation manufacturing, repair, or overhaul.
- Aerospace & Aircraft Background (MUST-HAVE): Proven experience directly in the aviation, aerospace, or aircraft manufacturing/MRO industry is strictly required. General sheet metal work outside aviation will not be considered.
- Blueprint Reading: Strong expertise in interpreting complex structural engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Precision: Demonstrated ability to perform high-precision work with close tolerances using specialized structural tools.
- Bonus: Final Assembly Line (FAL) or major structural joining experience is considered a strong plus.
Pay: $31.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
