Job Summary

Specific Responsibilities
- Participate in project activities focused on Environmental Construction, Civil Construction, or Reclamation
- Provide physical labour in an outdoor environment.
- Activities may include; shoveling/raking aggregate material, swamping for excavator, hoisting, installation of plant materials, tree care and removal, grading operations, erosion control, hydroseeding, mobilization of equipment/materials, operation of skid steer, and general construction labour.
- Interpretation and implementation of landscape plans, specifications, procedures and industry Best Practices.
- Work with a team, in local locations, as well as in remote settings requiring overnight stays. (Hotels/Accommodation/LOA provided for remote projects)
- Running of small equipment and use of hand tools (shovels, rakes, brush saws, chainsaws, skid steer, grinders, plate tampers)

- Responsible for final quality on assigned projects.

- Reports or corrects dangerous situations
- Reports accidents/incident and fills out proper paperwork

- Use of required safety equipment and PPE
- Strong time management, project planning and written/verbal communications

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
must complete in-house company training and on-the-job training will be provided.
- Prior Forestry, Civil, Construction, or Horticultural experience is considered an asset.
- Education in Landscape, Environmental Sciences, Ornamental Horticulture, Arboriculture or related fields is considered an asset.
- Registration with a professional organization is considered an asset.
- First Aid, WHMIS, TDG, Construction Safety Training System, and company specific orientation required prior to starting work on projects
- Certifications such as; Landscape Industry, International Society of Arboriculture, Ground Disturbance, Fall Protection, Chainsaw Safety, or any additional training certificates are considered an asset.
