Position:
Exploration Staffing Solutions Ltd. is seeking Exploration Geologists to join our team on an active uranium exploration project located near Postville, Labrador. The position is field-based and involves supporting an active diamond drilling exploration program in a remote camp environment. Rotations are available on either a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off or 3 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule.
Job Description:
The primary duties of this position will include:
- Geological logging of diamond drill core, including lithology, alteration, mineralization, and structural measurements
- Collecting, labeling, and managing geological samples
- Recording, entering, and maintaining accurate geological data
- Daily data entry, data uploads, and progress reporting
- Assisting with ongoing drilling and exploration activities
- Supporting the day-to-day execution of the exploration program
- Working closely with geologists, drill crews, and other project personnel
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe core logging facility
- Following all Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) policies and procedures
- Other duties may be assigned depending on project requirements and field conditions.
Qualifications:
- Team player: must work well with diverse groups of people for extended periods of time
- Able to work independently when required
- Positive and proactive attitude toward environmental responsibility, health and safety, and respectful workplace practices
- Detail-oriented with strong focus on accuracy and consistency
- Comfortable working in a remote camp environment
- Physically capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with geology and drilling teams
- Valid unrestricted driver's license preferred but not required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field
- Previous experience with geological logging, sampling, and geological data collection
- Experience working in a geological exploration setting and familiarity with the diamond drilling process
- At least one season of core logging experience
- Experience working on uranium or other mineral exploration projects is considered an asset
- Experience working and living in a remote camp setting
Compensation:
- $390-$440/day depending on experience
- Paid travel days
- Flights arranged and paid by the client
- Camp accommodations provided
- Meals provided while on site
