Exceptional Learning Centre (eXL) provides excellence in Education, ABA Behaviour Therapy, and Speech & Language Therapy for children and youth with autism and unique learning needs.
We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our multi-disciplinary team as an Instructor Therapist providing ABA behaviour therapy to children and youth. As a part of this team, you should have a willingness to learn and work in a collaborative and challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ABA therapy to children with ASD, unique learning needs, behavioural challenges, and/or developmental delays.
- Provide therapy and support in both one to one and small group settings.
- Therapy may be delivered at our centre/school or in the client's home.
- Complete and implement programming for all assigned clients/students.
- Collect and graph data for all programs.
- Understand and adhere to all behaviour protocols and programming.
Qualifications:
- Relevant education [i.e. Autism & Behaviour Sciences, Bachelor of Education, Child and Youth Worker, Education Assistant (EA), Early Childhood Education (ECE), Psychology, Social Services, or other related field].
- Experience working with children with exceptional needs.
- Strong organization and planning skills.
- Experience with data collection preferred, but not required.
- Experience providing intensive behavioural intervention and/or applied behavioural analysis preferred, but not required.
- Must be available to work Monday to Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
- Candidates will be required to present a valid and clear police vulnerable sector check prior to receiving an offer of employment.
