Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Coordinator (1-year contract) to join our team, with the potential for this role to evolve into a full-time position. This role will play a key part in supporting day-to-day HR operations while contributing to key initiatives across recruitment, employee experience, HR program delivery, and system implementation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both hands-on HR coordination and involvement in strategic projects, including HRIS implementation and internal platform development..
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Administration
· Coordinate day-to-day HR activities and ensure smooth execution of HR processes
· Maintain accurate employee records and documentation
· Support payroll preparation and ensure all required employee documentation is collected
· Assist with benefits administration and employee inquiries
Recruitment & Onboarding
· Support recruitment activities including job postings, screening, and interview coordination
· Coordinate onboarding of new employees (documentation, equipment, scheduling)
· Ensure a smooth and professional onboarding experience
HR Systems & Projects
· Play an active role in the implementation of UKG (HRIS system), including data preparation, testing, and process support
· Support ongoing system adoption and continuous improvement of HR processes
· Assist in maintaining and updating content on the REACH platform, ensuring information is current, organized, and easily accessible for employees
Employee Experience & Engagement
· Support employee engagement initiatives such as events, recognition programs, and communications
· Assist with organizing company-wide events and activities
· Act as a point of contact for employee questions and support
Performance & HR Programs
· Support performance management processes (tracking, reminders, coordination)
· Assist in maintaining HR documentation, templates, and programs
· Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency within HR
Compliance & Reporting
· Ensure HR practices align with company policies and employment standards
· Support reporting and tracking of HR metrics
· Maintain strict confidentiality of employee information
Qualifications & Experience
· 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field
· Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar
· Experience with HR systems (HRIS) or system implementations is an asset
· Experience with internal communication platforms or content management tools is an asset
· Knowledge of employment standards and HR best practices
