Position Overview:At the Ramada Saskatoon, our evening line cooks are responsible for the daily preparation of food items in the pantry, fry and/or other stations or areas of the kitchen.
Position Responsibilities:
- Prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of meats, vegetables, soups, breakfast dishes, and other food items in appropriate quantities while following menus, recipes, and production sheets while maintaining the highest of standards.
- Ensures proper plate presentation techniques when displaying food.
- Organizes and maintaining a clean and sanitary work area.
- Communicates efficiently with other production and wait staff.
- Position Requirements:
- Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
- Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
- Previous prep or line cook experience.
- English language and professional communications skills are required.
- Ability to take direction.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Must have problem solving abilities and be self-motivated.
- Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Demonstrates the ability to proactively prioritize needs, put first things first, and effectively manage resources and time.
