Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Bartender to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving food and beverages, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, excellent time management skills, and a passion for hospitality. Previous experience with POS systems such as Micros POS is preferred, along with a strong understanding of food safety and handling procedures. Responsibilities
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems like Micros POS
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as per standard recipes and customer preferences
- Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are followed to maintain hygiene standards
- Manage cash handling, including cashiering duties, processing payments, and giving accurate change
- Engage with guests to provide excellent customer service, addressing any special requests or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, tables, and service stations throughout the shift
- Assist in setting up and breaking down service areas before and after shifts
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy hours
Requirements
- Previous experience in restaurant or food industry service roles preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Basic math skills for cashiering and billing purposes
- Experience in serving alcohol responsibly and knowledge of responsible beverage service regulations is a plus
- Must be at least 18 years old or older to serve alcohol (if applicable)
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
