Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating various types of heavy machinery, including , excavators, skid steers, loaders. This role requires a strong focus on safety, precision, and reliability to ensure smooth operations across job sites. Prior experience in commercial driving and automotive repair is a plus, contributing to the overall versatility of the candidate.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavator, bulldozers, and loaders in accordance with safety protocols and operational guidelines
- Load and unload freight, materials, and equipment with precision to prevent damage or accidents
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with minor automotive repairs on equipment as needed
- Follow safety procedures diligently to maintain a secure work environment
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- Valid certification or licensing for commercial driving preferred
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards in industrial settings
- Basic automotive repair skills are advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy loads when required
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately

I am a single owner of KOV Contracting looking for someone to join me and help grow to a bit bigger of a company only anticipation is an additional machine to compliment the CAT 305 I currently have. Potentially a dump truck in the future. Looking for someone who has flexible hours doesn't mind a long day when necessary. Ideally will provide you with a company truck and fuel for the right candidate.
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
