Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Shipper/Receiver to join our growing team. This role involves receiving, sorting, processing, and preparing various plastic materials for shipment and recycling. The successful candidate will work in a warehouse environment handling recyclable plastics, operating Forklift, and maintaining organized inventory and shipping areas.
This is NOT a garbage facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments of plastic materials.
- Sort and separate various types of plastics according to company procedures.
- Operate Forklift in a safe and responsible manner to process and prepare materials for shipment.
- Communicate Forklift maintenance needs with Supervisor.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and loading materials.
- Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
- Keep warehouse and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Assist with general warehouse duties/cleaning as required.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, manufacturing, or recycling experience is required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift at least 40lbs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Reliable attendance and a positive work ethic.
- Forklift experience or certification is required.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
