Heavy Truck Driver (DZ/AZ)Job Summary
Briduco Enterprises Inc. is looking for an experienced and reliable Heavy Truck Driver to join our growing team. This position involves operating heavy trucks for a variety of construction-related tasks, including hauling aggregates, soil, construction materials, and equipment to and from job sites. The successful candidate will also be responsible for transporting heavy equipment such as excavators and skid steers using a float trailer, including loading, unloading, and properly securing equipment for transport.
The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, and experienced operating a 12-speed manual transmission truck in a construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy trucks in a safe and efficient manner, including 12-speed manual transmission vehicles.
- Haul aggregates, soil, gravel, asphalt, construction materials, and other job site materials as required.
- Operate dump trucks, float trucks, and other company vehicles as assigned.
- Transport heavy equipment, including excavators, skid steers, rollers, and other construction equipment, to and from job sites.
- Load and unload equipment onto float trailers safely and efficiently.
- Properly secure and strap down equipment in accordance with provincial regulations and company standards.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and required documentation.
- Follow all Ministry of Transportation (MTO), CVOR, and company safety regulations.
- Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and site personnel to coordinate deliveries and equipment moves.
- Assist with general yard duties and other tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Valid DZ driver's license (AZ license is an asset).
- Experience operating 12-speed manual transmission trucks.
- Previous experience hauling construction materials and working in the construction industry.
- Experience transporting heavy equipment using a float trailer.
- Ability to safely operate excavators, skid steers, or similar equipment for loading and unloading purposes.
- Knowledge of proper load securement procedures.
- Clean driver's abstract.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
