Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Mover/Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting and handling items efficiently and safely while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in moving, warehouse operations, or commercial driving, and possess strong communication skills to ensure smooth interactions with clients and team members.
We are especially interested in applicants who are current or former firefighters, graduates of pre-service firefighting programs, or individuals with backgrounds connected to first responder professions. The physical capability, discipline, teamwork, and safety-focused mindset developed in these fields make for an excellent fit within our operation. We also offer a significant hourly wage increase for those who are current firefighters.
Duties
- Safely load, unload, and transport furniture, equipment, and other items to designated locations
- Operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and vans, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws
- Assist customers with their moving needs, ensuring a positive experience through professional service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and work area
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding schedules, routes, and delivery details
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during operations
Skills
- Proven experience in moving services or warehouse environments is preferred
- Valid DZ license is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Customer service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanor
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 44 per week
