About Legal Support Services
Legal Support Services is a core operational function that enables efficient, client-focused legal services. The Director provides strategic and operational leadership to Office and Practice Managers and all non-lawyer support roles, including Paralegals, Legal Assistants, Office Support Assistants and Facilities and Operations teams across all McInnes Cooper offices.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Managing Director, People and Culture, the Director of Legal Support Services will play a critical leadership role in shaping how legal support services are delivered across all McInnes Cooper offices. This is an opportunity to lead a large and multifaceted team through a period of continued evolution and modernization, ensuring the firm’s legal support model remains responsive to changing client expectations, advances in technology, and the future of legal service delivery.
Working closely with firm leadership, Practice Groups, People & Culture, Technology, and Finance, the Director will drive initiatives that strengthen operational effectiveness, enhance collaboration, and support exceptional client service. The successful candidate will lead the continued evolution of team structures, workflows, service standards, and resourcing models, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency through technology, AI, legal project management practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Equally important is the people leadership aspect of the role. The Director will foster a high performing, engaged, and adaptable team culture by providing leadership in recruitment, performance management, employee engagement, succession planning, and career development.

With more than 10 years of leadership experience, you hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Law, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
