In a store as big as ours, it is important to have reliable staff to ensure we are operating efficiently. As sales associate of MrPets, you may be cross-trained in the following areas:
- Customer Service: You’ll be an essential part of creating sincere connections with pet parents to create customer loyalty and build a sense of security. You’ll welcome them and their families to the store, facilitate an easy check out process as a cashier and ensure that they found everything they needed. You will process store pick up and curbside pick up orders placed online.
- Pet Care: You’ll ensure the safety and health of all living pets in our facility—including cats, fish, reptiles, arachnids, birds, and small animals. You’ll play a key role in socializing them and be their family until they are adopted into a family of their own. You'll be taught valuable information on current care standards to do so. You’ll keep them healthy, clean, safe, and well fed. You’ll also engage with a large variety of pet owners to provide them with the best solutions specifically for their pets.
- Merchandising & Inventory: You’ll play an integral role in helping our clientele find exactly what they need, whenever they need it. You’ll practice receiving product, merchandising, stocking, and pricing. You'll ensure product displays are maintained and filled, as well as keep the store environment clean and organized while doing so.
- Other: You'll play a key role in opening or closing the store at the beginning or end of each day, which includes opening and/or closing the registers. Closing duties include, but are not limited to, cleaning our self serve dog wash, as well as sweeping and mopping the store nightly to ensure a fresh start the next morning.
