Mainframe Developer
Key Requirements
Senior level experience in mainframe development
Experience supporting modernization initiatives involving migration from Mainframe DB2 to Oracle on PeopleSoft
Analyze and modify existing mainframe batch jobs to integrate with Oracle/PeopleSoft environment
Develop and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2
Collaborate with Oracle and PeopleSoft teams for data integration and process alignment
Participate in data mapping, transformation, and validation during migration
Update job scheduling and batch processing logic using tools such as Zeke or CA-7
Create and maintain technical documentation for batch processes and interfaces
Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and audit requirements
Support testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of applications
Provide technical guidance and collaborate across teams throughout the SDLC
Strong experience in batch job modification and mainframe-to-Oracle integration
Familiarity with PeopleSoft data structures and Oracle database concepts
Experience in data migration and legacy system modernization
Proficiency in job scheduling tools such as Zeke and CA-7
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
Preferred Skills
Experience with eGL (Enterprise General Ledger) or similar tools
Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
Experience in technical leadership or mentoring roles
Knowledge of Python, PeopleSoft, SQL, and Zeke/CA-7
Knowledge of Linux operating system
