MCHP represents over 150 dedicated beekeepers across Manitoba and Saskatchewan. ABOUT THE POSITION
Manitoba Cooperative Honey Producers is seeking applications for the position of Senior Shipper/Receiver. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this role is responsible for coordinating shipping and receiving activities, managing inventory-related processes, supporting raw honey intake operations, and providing leadership and direction to warehouse team members. The Senior Shipper/Receiver also serves as a backup to the Warehouse Supervisor when required.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring orders, shipments, and documentation are accurate and completed on time.
- Schedule and track incoming and outgoing shipments while working closely with transportation providers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Receive inventory, verify documentation, and investigate discrepancies, shortages, or damages.
- Support inventory management through counts, audits, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Coordinate the movement of raw honey, packaging materials, drums, pallets, and finished goods.
- Operate a forklift and prepare products and materials for shipment.
- Maintain shipping records, bills of lading, and food safety documentation.
- Provide day-to-day direction to warehouse team members and support operational efficiency.
- Act as a backup to the Warehouse Supervisor when required.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
- 7–10 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in positions of increasing responsibility.
- Food manufacturing experience, forklift certification, WHMIS training, and HACCP knowledge are considered assets.
Working Conditions
This position works in a manufacturing and warehouse environment and may involve:
- Operating around machinery and industrial equipment.
- Moderate to heavy lifting.
- Extended work hours during busy periods.
- Occasional after-hours availability for operational issues.
