The Role:
Are you a patient focused professional with excellent communication skills and healthcare experience?
KMH Cardiology Centres Inc. is growing, and we are recruiting for a full-time position for our MRI Administration team at KMH Kitchener.
The Accountabilities:
This goal of this position is to provide efficient, accurate and patient-centered administrative support that ensures smooth MRI scheduling, optimal workflow coordination and an excellent experience for patients and referring providers.
The key accountabilities of the role include:
- Schedule, confirm and manage patient appointments for MRI’s and other medical services, including new bookings, rescheduling, cancellations and follow-ups. Provide patients with a clear explanation of test procedures and preparations per protocols. Support quality checks established by BOT to verify the accuracy and availability of all appointment information.
- Meet and achieve KPI’s and performance goals. Utilize Tableau daily to monitor and facilitate KPI attainment, and optimize clinic capacity.
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients during their in-clinic experience. Greet patients and visitors upon arrival, facilitate patient flow, and respond to check-ins, enquiries and phone calls in a courteous and empathetic manner. Accurately register patients by obtaining complete demographics, insurance information and consent. Build and maintain relationships with new and existing patients, physician offices and other healthcare facilities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. Ensure all required forms and documentation are completed per check-in protocols, prior requests and documentation are received in a timely manner, and all records are scanned into patient charts.
- Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area and collaborate with internal teams to ensure patient requirements are addressed efficiently.
Required skills and experience:
- Medical office experience
- Cardiology practice experience is an asset
- Demonstrated high quality, compassionate, patient-centred approach with proven ability to work independently in a busy, fast-paced clinic environment and establish priorities with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional telephone manner and etiquette
- Proficiency in technology including MS Office and EMR systems, with a strong understanding of medical terminology
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to deal with sensitive information with a high degree of privacy and diplomacy
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and flexibility

The hours of work for this position are:
11.00 am-7.00 pm Wednesday-Sunday
This on-site role reports to the Interim Manager, MRI Administration.
