ROLE
As a Leasing Representative, you are responsible for showing properties, engaging prospective tenants, and helping move qualified renters through the leasing process. This is a field-based, commission-only role focused on leasing residential properties across the Niagara region.
You will be the face of Welcome Home Management during the leasing process—creating strong first impressions, providing excellent service, and ensuring a smooth transition from showing to move-in. All tenant leads, screening, applications, and payments are handled by head office, allowing you to focus on leasing and relationship-building.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct in-person tours of available rental properties
- Communicate clearly and professionally with prospective tenants
- Follow up promptly on tenant leads and inquiries
- Conduct move-in inspections and resident orientations
- Build strong relationships from first showing through move-in
- Work closely with the marketing team to support listings, signage, and promotions
- Collaborate with the property management team on maintenance-related questions
- Support resident engagement and retention initiatives as needed
- Maintain a professional presence and represent Welcome Home positively
- Meet or exceed leasing targets and key performance indicators
- Contribute to team efforts and assist with related tasks as required
RESULTS
- Vacant properties are shown quickly and leased efficiently
- Prospective tenants receive timely communication and follow-up
- Leasing targets and KPIs are consistently met or exceeded
- New residents experience a smooth, positive move-in process
- Strong tenant relationships are established from day one
- Welcome Home is represented professionally and consistently in the field
REQUIREMENTS
- Positive attitude, high energy, and strong customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to work autonomously
- Solutions-oriented and comfortable being held accountable
- Strong sales skills and comfort working in a commission-based role
- Knowledge of the Niagara region and neighbourhoods
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, G-Suite, and learning new platforms
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Real estate experience is not required

- Full training provided, including leasing fundamentals, company protocols, and sales best practices

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Welland, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
