Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team, providing essential maintenance and repair services for a variety of heavy-duty equipment and vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in large truck repair, complete diesel engine overhauls, heavy equipment operation, and industrial machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety across all operations. The Diesel Mechanic will play a vital role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our fleet and equipment.
Duties
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel engines on semi trucks/trailers
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to execute repairs and assembly tasks
- Read schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems before they lead to breakdowns
- Maintain records of repairs and maintenance activities for compliance and future reference
- Operate heavy equipment safely during maintenance procedures as needed
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engines and heavy equipment maintenance
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair, electrical systems, HVAC systems, welding, and industrial machinery
- Experience working with Schematics for troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnostics and repairs
- Valid red seal or licenses related to heavy equipment mechanics
