Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate ,dedicated and experienced Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our team as a part time. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients and supporting our veterinary staff in delivering exceptional services. This position requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures by holding animals and providing necessary support.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Collect laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and feces for testing.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor animal patients during recovery from anesthesia or surgery.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding care instructions and treatment plans.
- Assist in the management of inventory, including ordering supplies as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred .
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and techniques is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with clients and team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if necessary.
- A genuine passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing exceptional care.
