Hanscomb’s Ottawa Team has an immediate opportunity for a career orientated Junior Level Electrical Cost Consultant / Quantity Surveyor. You will have completed a related post-secondary electrical program, preferably will be located within the Ottawa area, eligibility to obtain security clearance is preferred.

About you.
- Located within the National Capital Region or open to a potential relocation plan.

- Knowledge of detailed cost, design, and construction processes.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Able to learn new computer assisted estimating tools with efficiency and accuracy.
- Capable of working effectively on multiple tasks and demands.
What you’ll do.
- Measurement of various types of projects from construction plans, including the ability to prepare detailed schedules of quantities.
- Reading and interpreting blueprint drawings.Assist in the preparation of construction estimates from information provided by field engineers, architects, and other design consultants
- Pricing and analysis of the various stages, methods and types of construction.
- Assisting with cost checking
