Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Self-Loading Logging Truck Driver with at least 5 years of professional driving experience and a valid Class 1 license. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, reliable, and able to work independently while representing our company with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a self-loading logging truck in various terrain and weather conditions.
- Load, secure, and transport logs from cut blocks to mills or sorting yards.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and routine maintenance checks.
- Follow all company safety protocols and WorkSafeBC regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, loader operators, and other drivers.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience operating a self-loading logging truck.
- Valid Class 1 BC driver’s license with a clean abstract.
- Strong knowledge of log hauling practices and safe operating procedures.
- Ability to perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting on truck and equipment.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic — must be dependable and team-oriented.
