About the Company:

We are currently looking to hire CICO Supervisor Reporting to Shift Manager, this position is responsible for the efficient operation of a high-volume dock within the Toronto terminal.
Shift Timings: 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
Basic Duties:
- Supervise a team of shunters and general clerk(s)
- Assure freight is available on doors in order for the respective dock to remain productive
- Lead the shunt team to improve door replenishment and better yard management
- Utilize shift reports and Oasis to make effective decisions
- Provide appropriate workflow in order for the manager to execute operationally
- Ensure loads are prioritized by operational requirements
- Coordinate all support activities for the dock manager, supervisors and dock workers
- Control all in bond, appointment and storage trailers on site
- Ensure communication to the dock for tracking, tracing and all inquiries is addressed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Possesses a high level of energy and willingness to learn
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of transportation and supervisory experience; College or University Degree preferred
- LTL experience an asset
- Supervising in a union environment an asset
- Demonstrates the ability to adapt well to change
- Excellent practical approach to problem solving
- Customer service oriented
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Possesses exceptional personal integrity and strong values
- Has the courage and conviction to do “the right thing”
- Leads by example, results driven
Education:
- Post-secondary education or equivalent preferred
