Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Dispatcher/Customer Service representative to join our team. This role involves coordinating transportation logistics, managing communication with clients and carriers, and ensuring smooth operations within our supply chain. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, proficiency with various systems, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using transportation management systems and SyteLine software
- Manage shipping & receiving processes to ensure timely delivery and pickup of goods
- Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
- Monitor freight movements, analyze data for operational efficiency, and resolve any issues that arise during transit
- Maintain detailed records of shipments, delays, and other relevant logistics information for analysis purposes
- Collaborate with 3PL providers and supply chain partners to optimize transportation routes and schedules
- Perform analysis on freight data to identify opportunities for process improvements
Skills
- Proficiency with transportation management systems, SyteLine, and AS400 platforms
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and typing speed
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with professional phone etiquette
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures within a supply chain context
- Understanding of freight logistics, 3PL operations, and supply chain management principles
- Strong analysis skills to interpret data trends and support decision-making processes
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a dynamic setting
Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
