Job overview:
We are seeking a creative, organized, upbeat, midcentury-loving Intermediate Interior Designer to join our design team. Our ideal candidate has spent a minimum of 3 years in the interior design industry and possesses a strong foundation in AutoCAD and 3D rendering.
* Please note we are currently not hiring for remote workers or junior designers and those applications will not be considered. *
Job duties include:
- Work alongside principal designer on projects from concept to completion, including predesign, design development, contract documents, and contract administration / construction management
- Complete site measures and produce full as-built drawings
- Produce full AutoCAD drawing sets for both residential and commercial projects, including floor plans, lighting plans, finish plans, interior elevations, millwork detailing, etc.
- Procurement of furniture, décor, and job materials, including purchasing, invoicing, and coordination of shipping, delivery, warehousing, and returns
- Create 2D and 3D renderings using SketchUp and/or Photoshop
- Specification of finishes, fixtures, furniture, and decor, and compilation of detailed specification packages
- Ongoing correspondence with clients, contractors, trades, and vendors
- General administrative duties including material library updates, marketing, sample pick ups / drop offs, etc.
Requirements:
* A Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited institution
* Strong technical skills in AutoCAD and a comprehensive understanding of drawing package standards, requirements, and specifications
* Proficiency in SketchUp
* Access to a vehicle and a valid Driver's License
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage and coordinate numerous projects and tasks at one time
- Proactive and self-motivated
- A love for unique, colourful, and retro-inspired designs

Preference given to applications with:
- Experience with furniture procurement, ordering, and tracking
- Knowledge of Alberta building code
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

Pay: $40,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
