The successful candidate will work in person our location Swagelok Calgary and report directly to the Customer Service Manager.
The main duties and responsibilities for the Position, without limiting its scope, can be summarized as follows:
Customer Service
- Providing excellent customer service
- Processing customer orders – entering (may include warehouse support)
- Providing quotes to customers
Job Functions:
a) Customer Service
- Answering customer queries in person, by phone, or electronic means concerning:
o product availability
o pricing of product
o shipping options
- Process quotes and new orders, providing price and delivery feedback to customers promptly.
- Maintain communication with Swagelok Calgary regarding any customer queries, which cannot be answered immediately.
- Stay up to date with local business news and relay relevant information to Swagelok Calgary and the Outside Sales Representatives.
b) Order & Quote Processing
- Entry into company software system recording relevant and pertinent details,
- Compliance with customer requirements.
c) Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
d) Perform duties as required by management.
Education:
- Minimum: High School Diploma
Experience:
- Customer service experience is an asset
- Mechanical or fluid system knowledge is a plus
Specific Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word & Outlook).
- SAP B1 software experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Data Entry
Essential Skills:
- Strong phone contact handling skills & active listening.
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks independently.
